About Me
Hi, I'm Margaret! I'm a certified art teacher (K–12) with over twenty years of experience bringing creativity to life for students of all ages. From little ones exploring color mixing for the first time to adults discovering their artistic voice.
I studied painting and art education at SUNY New Paltz in New York, and my own artistic journey has taken me many wonderful places since then, including deep into the Waldorf community as a handwork teacher, and into the rich, tactile world of fiber arts. My personal artwork centers on painting with wool through wet felting, needle felting, and embroidery, and I love how these layered, hands-on techniques connect people to something natural and meaningful.
I've had the joy of facilitating women's workshops, retreats, and art classes for both children and adults. I love guiding others through expressive arts, mindfulness, and reflective practices to help them process experiences, build coping skills, and reconnect with their inner resources.
These days I live in beautiful Alaska; where I find endless inspiration in the outdoors, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, nature journaling, and adventuring with my pug, Coco Bear, and my two children.
I believe we are all artists. Every single one of us. No matter your skill level or background, you belong here. This space is for you, to explore, to create, and to discover what you're capable of.
Come as you are. ✨

Refund Policy
Full refunds are given up to 4 weeks before a class begins.
After that, class fees are refunded as follows:
No refunds are given if your spot is not filled before the class begins.
If there is a waiting list and your spot is filled you may be refunded for the class fee.
If there is no one left on the wait list and you find someone to take your spot, have your friend contact me and then have your friend pay you directly for the class. I prepare nametags, a seating chart etc so the day a class begins is too late to make these arrangements so please keep that in mind. Thank you!
Refund Policy for homeschoolers: The same 4 week refund policy above applies to students for whom I will be invoicing a homeschool. I invoice homeschools the week before a class begins so after I have invoiced a homeschool no changes can be made. If you withdraw with less than 7 days notice I cannot change my invoice even if you find someone to take your place so you would have to have your friend pay you directly.
